What we can measure, and what we cannot
GOTS and OEKO-TEX certified, dyed in a closed-loop bath, made within 40 km of Porto. Below is what those claims cover, and three things they do not.
Four things we actually do
Each one is a decision about the supply chain rather than a statement of intent.
Short supply chain
Spinning, knitting, dyeing and making all sit within 40 km of Porto. Cloth is moved by van between towns, not flown between continents.
Dye water is recovered
The dye house in Barcelos runs a closed-loop bath. Water is filtered and returned to the dyeing cycle rather than discharged after each lot.
MOQ 25 pcs
A low minimum is an environmental decision as much as a commercial one. Ordering what you need beats ordering 500 and storing 300 of them.
Samples come back
Samples are free if you return them within 60 days. Returned samples go into the showroom archive rather than a bin.
Two certificates, and what each one is actually for
Certification is a floor, not a finish. We walk every partner floor ourselves and the certificates sit on top of that, not instead of it.
GOTS
Fibre to finished garmentGlobal Organic Textile Standard covers the organic cotton, the spinning, the knitting and the social criteria on each floor. Certificate numbers are on the invoice.
OEKO-TEX Standard 100
Dye and finishEvery dye, thread, print ink and woven label is tested for harmful substances. It is the standard that covers what touches skin.

Three things we will not claim
The gaps are more useful to you than the certificates, so they are on the page.
We do not publish a carbon figure yet
We can tell you where every process happens and how far the cloth travels. We cannot yet tell you a verified per-garment number, and we would rather say so than publish an estimate that reads like a fact.
Organic cotton is not free of water use
It uses less than conventional cotton and no synthetic pesticides, but it is still a thirsty crop. The place we can measurably act is the dye house, so that is where the closed loop is.
Shipping is the part we control least
Orders leave Porto by road within Europe. Anything further goes by whatever the freight forwarder can consolidate, and we do not pretend that is neutral.
Order what you need, not what a minimum forces on you
MOQ is 25 pcs and production runs in 14–21 days, so a call-off run beats a warehouse.
